As you may know, the county recently launched the Silver Shield Anti-Scam Campaign to take on scammers who have all kinds of ways to wheedle their way into our wallets. The Fairfax 50+ Podcast will support this campaign with programs that report on current scams and provide advice on how to prevent becoming a scam victim. On today's podcast, Henri Stein McCartney will kick off our anti-scam series by telling us what we need to do to protect ourselves from scammers who knock on our doors. Henri is chief of the Regulation and Licensing Branch in the Department of Cable and Consumer Services. The branch offers advice to county residents, community associations, and county agencies on a number of regulated business areas, including door-to-door solicitation.
