Faia (Femmes Fatales, Small Records, NO)
After many years of clubbing she got curious about DJing, so she started to spin records in 2009. It didn't take long before she was ready to play at techno-clubs in Oslo.
Her style is mainly tech house, deep house, deep tech, minimal and techno.
With her techy, dark, playful and funky sound she's had gigs at The Villa, Jaeger, Elefant, Fugazi, Seeds, Fisk og Vilt, Blå, Turkish Delight, Sikamikanico, Skansen, Ballroom, Månefisken, Gudruns, and several other clubs and underground house and techno events in Oslo. Primal Behaviour, Electric Fusion, Einzeit, Funky Fiction and Escape Reality is a few of the events she played at who really made an impression on Faia's experience with the techno underground scene in Oslo. She's been traveling to most of Norway's major cities spinning music, such as Bergen, Trondheim, Kristiansand, and to her small home town Kristiansund.
In Oslo she's had a 5 year residency at the techno-basement The Villa, with the 7 year old concept 'Femmes Fatales', where she books Norwegian and international female DJs. The bi-monthly concept 'Femmes Fatales' was moved to the newly refurbished club Elefant/Kulturkartellet in 2017. She's had female guest DJs from Norway, Sweden, Germany and England at the clubnights and radioshows at the former Pitch Radio. She also had a residency at Café Kaos once a month between 2011-12. In cooperation with Small Records she has the 'Deep Fridays' events at Elefant/Kulturkartellet once a month. She has performed at the yearly festival Music day/Musikkfest Oslo for several years on various scenes with electronic music. Faia was a part of Sommerøya Festivalen, where she booked artists, performed, and did voluntary work for a couple of years. Other festivals she has played at : Sehr Shøn Festival, Safari (SE), Open Air Oslo, KoseKroken festival, and soon she will be playing at Burning Man Stockholm (SE) 2017.
Faia has been booked to play in European cities such as Gothenburg (SE), Strömstad (SE), Malága (ES), Copenhagen (DK), Manchester (UK), London (UK), Berlin (DE), Wetzlar (DE), Svalbard (NO), and at the party island Koh Phangan Thailand.
She has been on the line-up and played alongside high profiled DJs and producers as; Oxia, Martin Dawson, Nic Fancuilli, M.E.M.O, Pig&Dan, Nils Noa, Charlotte Thorstvedt, Tim Andresen, Ida Engberg, Anna Messa, Per Hammar, Lottie, Djuma Soundsystem, Matthias Meyer, Gavin Herlihy, Fidelity Kastrow, Solomun, Attaboy, Esther Duijn, Uone Jack, Nastia, BeSvendsen, Guy J, Kruse and Nuernberg, Lars Wickinger, Turmspringer, Miss Sunshine, La Fraicheur, Beddermann & Dahlmann, Luigi Rocca, and Danny Rampling to name a few.
Faia has done podcasts for several radio stations.
With the "Femmes Fatales" concept, Faia's had a weekly radio show on Pitch Radio in 2010-2011. No Dial Tone played her mixtapes on 'RadiOrakel' (FM 99.3 Mhz) several times, and she was streamed live on 'Pitchradio.com' from the Sommerøya festival 2010.
Faia has also made an exclusive mix for 'AvanCee FM' at 'Radio Volum' at 'Radio Sør FM 98,6 MHz', and has done podcasts for 'Essence of Sound radio', 'International Sound System', 'Radio Raptus', 'Gin and Juice webradio', 'Sehr Schøn podcast series', 'Pils & Plater' at the Norwegian radiostation 'Radio Nova', 'Black Pool Music', 'Porno Poltercast', and twice for the popular 'Kentaur Podcast Series'. She was broadcasted in the weekends at 'Blue Star FM' Volos Greece, and is currently featured on thursdays 'Ladies Night' at Radio Spartacus.
She is currently working on a podcast for 'Deeper Sounds', and will be featured at 'Sezonaz', 'The Red Scull Label' and 'Kentaur Podcast Series' this year (2017).
