The synergy that we share with the output of Michael Mayer's Kompakt imprint is something that should never be questioned. He's been part of our programming for as long as we can remember and the label's wax output is a staple of most of our visitors’ DJ bags. Last year in fact they just celebrated 20 years in operation, which is no mean feat and most likely down to Mayer’s ongoing day to day commitment to the label and persistent discovery of new talents. With his annual Room One outing scheduled for the weekend ahead we got an opportunity to catch up what's new for 2014 and how sometimes being an in demand remixer as well as A&R takes its toll on his own personal studio time. Mayer has also provided us with a mix to outlay what we can look forward to in the dark hours of the weekend ahead right here in Farringdon.
