Matthias Ruete on the State of the EU: Challenges and Opportunities by Experience ANU published on 2017-05-22T05:05:36Z Matthias Ruete is the European Commission’s Director General for Home Affairs and Migration (DG, HOME) and spoke at the ANU Centre for European Studies on 17 February 2017. He’s served in a variety of roles in the Commission, ranging from DG Social Affairs (Health and Nuclear Safety) to Director General of Enlargement to DG of Mobility and Transport. Before joining the European Commission, Mr Ruete lectured in Constitutional, European and International Public Law at Warwick University.
