Passion for the classics, strong connection with house music and commitment to the sustainable development of the scene. Exequiel Felipelli, or just Exequiel, is an artist who made of music more than his profession, he made it an essential part of his life.
After a long experience working behind the scenes and on the front line of D-EDGE, Exequiel reached a level of maturity that allowed him to take new flights in his career. Since then, he has been engaging to build his own story through projects that embrace 360 degrees of an artistic life.
Born in a small city in Argentina and currently based in São Paulo, Exequiel Felipelli drank from the source different references that were decisive in his process of artistic consolidation. Nowadays, he is an accomplished music curator and this ability is reflected in his works with Katz, label party for intimate dance floor in special venues of São Paulo, and with EKO, a project that is among the most important of the independent scene of São Paulo.
Exequiel is also part of Akolonia, a cultural place with radio, studios, courses and workshops in the largest metropolis of Brazil, and through EKO, he is part of the Antropofagik team, a biannual festival that brings together relevant nuclei of the city of São Paulo. Regarding his retrospective in the studio, it is worth mentioning his releases by labels like URSL, D-EDGE Records and Vedana, besides of a current moment with great creative effervescence that has resulted in a series of important works with projection for launch in the coming months.
His experience in front of the decks is proven through many presentations in the same lineup of renowned artists of world dance music. With technique and sensitivity ascertained during the construction of his sets, Exequiel has already passed the dance floor to names such as The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, Jackmaster, & ME, Art Department, Mano le Tough, Moscoman, Bedouim, Red Axes... the list goes far.
His musical narrative is engaging and adapts in the most diverse situations, so much so that he has already taken on the responsibility of performing in big clubs beyond Brazilian borders. In Berlin, he played at Kater Blau, Wilden Renate, Sisyphos, Ipse, Ritter Butzke and Golden Gate. Still in Europe, he has also played at Badaboum, Paris, Plan B, MicroClub and Europa Club in Portugal, as well as gigs at Pratersauna and Flex, in Italy, Waagenbau in Hamburg (Germany), Club Silencio in Switzerland and, of course, important venues of Buenos Aires, like Niceto and Jet.
Producing, DJing or creating new alternatives for the development of the electronic industry, Exequiel always presents himself as a reflection of his restless and absolutely revolutionary mind. It is difficult to point out which course your journey in music will follow in the next few years, but it certainly will not be a common place.
