evolutionary theory - SB4000 Compressor - ( test 1 ) by evolutionary theory

This is some audio ( from Native Instruments and Abbey Road Studios 70s drums via Kontakt 4 ) running through an SB4000 ( SSL Bus-Style ) DIY compressor that I just finished building.
You can hear me engage the compressor at each 16 beat interval.
Each loop starts dry, and then has the compressor engaged.

The settings are extreme but they show how much crush the SB4000 can have over drums ( not that you'd likely use it this extremely in context ) and what type of effects you can get it you push things - various settings were used, but mostly:

Lowest Threshold
10:1 Ratio
Fastest Attack
Fastest Release
Filter set to T2 mode
about 10dB gain
