EV⎮L Barcelona EVIL Evil are Evripidis Sabatis and Odil Bright, old friends and collaborators since 2004. They were brought together in the most typical fashion amongst music lovers: discussing a group they both adored. It took place at the clothing store where Odil used to work. She was playing Broadcast, and Evripidis, impressed, went to the counter and started talking to her. Since that day they have been partners in crime, spicy-tuna diners, bandmates (Odil has toured and recorded with Evripidis and his Tragedies, Evripidis group) and good friends, through thick and thin. EVIL is their new adventure. Their sound is a combination of dark romantiscism, traditional songwriting, synthesizers and electronic rythms, looking back and forward at the same time. EVIL have already recorded original soundtracks for the short films “Domingo” by Lluís Enríc Gutiérrez, “Bless that dress” by Jordi Estrada and “Tienes fé que hay paredes hay suelo” by Tamara Kuselman. Right now they are recording new material. They still talk often about their favourite groups.
