4:00am ETD by Eve of Release published on 2013-02-22T00:30:06Z A mellow dramatic and sad song about loss and regret. The title is short for "4:00am Estimated Time of Death". The lyrics imply an argument between a fictional character and a loved one who then decides to take sleeping pills to help herself sleep through her sorrow but accidentally overdoses, yet is fully conscious of the fact that she's dying in her sleep while she calls out to her love for help, even though he can't hear her because it's only in her dream. Verse: Don't wake It's 4:00am I want you to feel well She wanted to feel well She found a way to numb the pain of all they said to each other They never could have known love wouldn't be the last thing shown She won't wake It's 6:00am Bridge: Come on, open your eyes, I know you're kidding around (I hope you're kidding around) Your skin is so cold My God, come back to life, please don't leave me tonight (You swore you never would die) This pain's unbearable Our last day stolen by pride (Your last kiss I denied) My last words made you cry Chorus: She had a dream she wasn't sleeping yet she couldn't find a way to wake up She starts to scream, "I'm here, my love, please hear me calling, wake me up before I'm gone forever." As the nightmare peaks, she fights to breathe the benzo sea and puts herself to sleep forever.
