Antiphonal Song (pipe organ) by eventhorizon5 published on 2021-06-01T23:30:03Z This is something that I wrote around age 13 in possibly 1995, with a new rendition of it, being performed on the 4 manual, 80-rank Austin pipe organ at Christ Church of Oak Brook in Illinois. The organ has 2 main chambers, the Main and Antiphonal, and this song is being played entirely on the Antiphonal organ which is on the right side of the sanctuary and has 32 ranks. The photo shows the chamber. The recording device/microphone was placed near the chamber. The name Antiphonal Song is related to how the pipes on the Antiphonal have always sounded as if they were singing with a powerful breath, the diapasons in front can be noticed the most, the name means that it's the song that the Antiphonal sings. The sound builds until the entire Antiphonal is playing. Recorded on 6/1/21.
