Gospel recording artists Charles Butler & Trinity is a well recognized Washington, DC gospel group led by Charles P. Butler, Jr. Trinity infuses urban and contemporary gospel music, and has become one of the most distinguished and sought after gospel groups on the East Coast.
Since their commencement, Charles Butler & Trinity has shared the stage with notable gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Kim Burrell, J Moss, Bobby Jones, CoKo, Michelle Williams formerly of Destiny’s Child, Byron Cage, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Beverly Crawford, Tyrone Tribbett, the late Rev. Timothy Wright, Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Prophetess Juanita Bynum, Bishop George Bloomer, Pastor Jamal Bryant, and Bishop Eddie Long. In addition, Charles Butler & Trinity has performed on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, the Bobby Jones Artist Retreat, the WORD Network, TBN, the Gospel Heritage Conference, the GMWA Board Meeting, international broadcast R&B video show “MHz Urban,” Italy’s Rai Uno Network, and the gospel musical “Is Silver & Gold Worth Your Soul.”
Subsequent to providing background vocals on gospel recording artist Earnest Pugh’s critically acclaimed “Rain On Us” project, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Gospel charts and the title track at #1, Trinity accompanied Pugh on a trip to Italy for a 15 city tour. On June 22, 2011 Charles Butler & Trinity’s uplifting song “You Can Live” was selected as one of 10 songs to debut on “Jawn Murray Presents: UNTAPPED,” a music compilation CD that is distributed through EMI records and was released in September 2011. Moreover, Charles Butler & Trinity’s anticipated debut project “Better” will be released nationwide February 26, 2013.
