Michele Bianchini, tenor saxophone Laura Mancini, frame drum + bass drum Simone Nocchi, piano Andrea Biagini, conductor Program Notes: We are certainly aware that our body is capable of making sound through the direct contact with another object; for example, blowing air into the saxophone or the use of hands with the piano and drums. But, what is the sound of our body? Can the subtle vibration of our body and the internal rhythm of breathing and heart beat be transmitted into these external objects? And, in return, can our body resonate with the sound and the vibration that we create? In this case, the frame drum acts as an amplifier of our body, with various mallets and objects acting as the extension of our fingers.
