Enigmatik Perception Torsten Reitz There was but a single ray of light on the horizon. Men were acting like machines – robotic, cruel, and insensitive. A young man walked the streets of those desolate surroundings, pondering and reflecting all the good and the bad times. He felt trapped and in need to find a way out. He knew he had to think about "Exit Strategies"… Enigmatik Perception was born in a whirlwind of emotions, when in 2007 singer/songwriter Torsten Reitz decided he needed a valve for his ideas. Soon he was joined by keyboarders Chris Grundmann and Markus Roth. In 2010 the three of them started working on songs for the project’s first album with the help of guitarists Adam Laszlo and Robert Polikarpow and have been busy ever since. Enigmatik Perception has a truly unique sound influenced by a wide range of different genres. Some listeners compare their style to acts such as Dream Theater, Jan Hammer, Iron Maiden, OSI, or Porcupine Tree. Their debut, tentatively entitled "Exit Strategies", blends rock with progressive, pop, and electronic elements. The project’s first instrumental demos left a strong impression on internet platforms. The album’s release is planned for mid-2011.
