Considering the fact that music industry is admittedly a male area difficult for a young lady to join, challenges and risks that had to be undertaken, were Elena’s Dodopoulou very first thought. Fortunately, her love for music prevailed over all the obstacles existent. Apart from the basis set upon classical music, due to her experience in ballet, she then meets electronic music at the age of 17. Still based in her hometown city Serres, her musical journey starts to be shaped step by step.
Although studying to be a civil engineer appealed to her at that period of time, did not finally gain her completely from her passion for music as her voice gradually becomes familiar to all the Bleep web radio audience. Later on, Venus 91,1 radio welcomes her to FM frequency. It was then, when Elena impressed Thessaloniki’s audience both because of her on air choices and her unique mixsets offered on a regular basis.
Sooner or later, Elena joined the Plusthirty bookings agency presenting herself as ‘’Dolleen’’ succeeding several guests in few bars in Thessaloniki while our ears caught her voice at Biscuit radio. Back to present, Dolleen chooses a different way of expressing her personal style , rather than belonging to a specific agency which promotes a limited variety of genres. Following her moto "Just doing my Thing" her sound has moved closer to ''dance-house music'', a change that became clear after her appearances in clubs/bars of Thessaloniki such as Club Division, Elvis Bar, The Met hotel (Non-Rooftop),Tokyo City bar, Casablanca, Taxidiotis etc. and also in other Greek cities like Chalkidiki (Pomegranate The Club), Volos (Tout, Monk), Ioannina(Bring the Noise event), Larisa(Moshpit), Serres (Box) etc. Last but not least, an ideal request by radio Home 89,1 to host a "twice a month" residency gave her the chance of "flirting" with Southern Greece's audience.Elena’s perspective is described by the following : ‘’Music widens and varies as much as to satisfy every kind of ear and fear ‘’
