Element proudly brings its debut EP (Coming out March 9th, 2014) featuring the talented Nash Donson, giving us a three track EP of the highest quality, featuring remixes from Stephane K, Matteo Monero, Sean McClellan, d-phrag & Napalm, J-Hecht, and Will McGlone.
The first track “I Don't Wonna,” chugs along with a hypnotic, techy groove and a small vocal snippet that can get deep inside anyone's head. Stephane K then comes along and takes this mix with a driving tech house number, including an eerie pad that pushes the steady groove along with precision. Sean McClellan spins the groove into a deep progressive direction, featuring well placed percussive hits, an acidic melody, and massive bass that makes the track complete.
The second track, “The Heat,” brings a funkier tech house vibe with a masterful progression. The track and melody moves into a pad and melody that takes listeners on a ride of epic proportions. Brajan’s remix twists things up a bit, providing a deep techno infused, minimal groove, that will smash any dance floor. The hard-hitting d-phrag & Napalm remix swings it’s hard-hitting bass, clever effects, and electro styled snyths into a sonic victory.
Last but not Least, Nash delivers a memorable, driving melody with Another End. This track features a thick live sounding bass and an electric guitar that will surely make lighters wave in a club. Matteo Monero showcases a gorgeous remix with a subtle, yet haunting, female vocal that will easily enter the heart and soul of any listener. J-Hecht’s remix offers lazy sounding percussion with a deep house remix that exhibits memorable and innovative changes made to the strengths of the original. Finally, Will McGlone delivers a deep, lush progressive version of the track that slowly builds into a beautiful breakdown, just to give it a big slap back to the true essence of the original track.
[Review from progressivehouseworldwide.com]
It's with great pleasure that we see another fine label starting on a journey to bring more deep progressive music to the people of the world. Being a force on the scene already with his superb ear and ability to build up his own music, Will McGlone is now ready to take the next step and take on his very own label, Element. We believe the Johnson City, Tennessee, USA based producer will surprise you in the future and he definitely has put out a strong release to start out the label.
For the first release, Serbian producer Nash Donson comes to the label and he is in with a 3 track original EP that is packed with massive remixes as well!
The opener, and title track, "Another End" is nothing short of musical genius where Donson showcases what he is all about: hypnotic melodies and slick percussion work blended with bubbling bass sounds. It's just such a joy to listen to.
This one comes with a stellar remix line-up including superb interpretations from the label boss himself, Will McGlone, who kicks it off in style. With a more upbeat take on the original, including soothing kick drums, warm pads, and, of course, his creativity to build a mystic feel using a rolling bass line he brings a superb remix. The second remix of this original comes from the Italian supremo, Matteo Monero. The head honcho of Never Too Late Recordings brings on a great mixture between uplifting elements and the darker side of progressive. He uses his unique touch to bring it all on through his well developed sounds. Warm bass sounds and floating strings that work in and out of the track along with well crafted melodies do the job for you.
The final remix of the first original comes from US producer Jason Hecht aka J-Hecht. He brings on a relaxed interpretation that suits the release very well and gives more options for listeners to chose from.
The second original from Nash Donson, christened as "I Don't Wonna" is another laidback and relaxed production where he uses some smooth vocal additions to bring more out of his sounds. Cool electric elements, smooth bass sounds and clever effects makes this a smooth journey.
On remix duty for this track, two long term servers on the EDM scene, Stephane K and Sean McClellan, are here to please your ears. They both are giving this one a deeper touch and taking it in different directions. Both of them are really great!
The final original titled "The Heat" is a funky and low tempo progressive piece of musical art from the Serbian supremo. Some truly twisted elements works like a charm throughout the production and it's fair to say the first release has what it takes without any doubts.
Two remixes have been done of this original as well, with the first one coming from Brajan who is giving it a great vibe with a minimal touch; it's really cool stuff.
The final remix on this original and in this massive Element package comes from two of the hardest working guys out there, Napalm & D-Phrag. The duo has made a superb interpretation of the original including a really rough and dirty take that we feel is one to watch since we believe this one will echo around the globe.
All in all, you are going to get a massive first release on Element and we are sure there is a lot more in the pipeline. Stay tuned for more dope EDM music. The journey has just begun!
