Hue Blanes and Ben Crook
Melbourne
Electric Opera is a Drum and Synth Trio, featuring Hue Blanes on Synth and Vocals and Ben Crook on Drums and Vocals, and Alan Dinh on Synth/Electric Bass and Vocals.
All artists have performed in various musical acts, including “The Melodics” and “Morph”.
Electric Opera are currently finishing an EP which has spent several months bubbling away in the laboratory. The EP is produced by renowned sonic architect Damien Charles (“The Red Eyes”, “Me”)
Electric Opera's sound ranges across choir like angelic vocals, colourful and relentless manic drum and synth rhythms, grinded with electro rock toughness, and oscillated with fat saw tooth synthesizers.
Their live sound is scientifically formulated to include 99.9% fatness, and may contain traces of metallic distortion.
