dolce_tormento by Einike Leppik published on 2020-02-23T21:59:31Z dolce_tormento is an acousmatic composition for stereo (2.0, 2.1) or quadraphonic (4.0, 4.1) speakers setup. The composition is based on different type of samples (instrument, field recordings etc), all samples are processed with Audiosculpt using different treatments and analysis. The name of the composition is referring to the madrigal Sì dolce è’l tormento by Claudio Monteverdi. The composing process started with one short sample I cut from the recording of this madrigal. Later on the general ideal developed and moved far from Monteverdi, but the concept of something fragile and torturing at the same time remained.
