OELA Podcast Series The Office of English Language Acquisition Washington, D.C. The U.S. Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) provides national leadership to help ensure that English learners (ELs) and immigrant students attain English proficiency and achieve academic success. The OELA Podcast Series is based on teaching practice briefs that highlight promising practices in EL instruction related to science, mathematics, and early childhood education. Each episode features an interview between an OELA staff member and the author of the teaching practice brief. New episodes will be released in Summer 2020 on teacher preparation, supporting ELs students with interrupted formal education, and dual language education. Visit ncela.ed.gov for more EL resources.
