Ewa C.[ichoń] plays the flute (transverse, recorder and ethnic) being a classical trained musician as well as improviser, especially in the field of free improv/intuitive music. Being inspired by different styles and genres, from contemporary, through experimental to ethno and world music she explores and combines the meditative spirit with experimental elements in her music, using also her voice (extended vocal technics).
She participated in many artistic events such as concerts, theatre and musical projects, conferences and festivals, performing with such musicians as Andrzej Rejman (piano), Robert Jędrzejewski (cello), Zbigniew Kunkowski (vocal) in Motyle/Butterflies project, singers and performers Aleksandra Klimczak and Antonina Nowacka, percussionists as Albert Karch or Piotr Dąbrowski, as well as with Mehdi Gholami and Paweł Prochnowski (guitar), Alina Mleczko (saxophone), Iwona Jędruch (violin, gongs), Jakub Kasznia and Konrad k'sadhu Zientara (electronics).
Constantly developing her musical language she takes part in different events and improvised meetings in Poland, Germany and the Netherlands (i.e. in European Intuitive Music Conference by Carl Bergstroem-Nielsen).
She took part in ISIM Festival and Conference of Improvised Music in Chateau d'Oex, Switzerland ("Threeways" project with A. Rejman & A. Karch, 2015).
In 2015-2017 she participated in the performances of Cornelius Cardew pieces (Treatise, Tiger's Mind, School Compositions) under John Tillbury at Kody Festival (Lublin, Poland), as well as in Archipelag Andriessen and Avangarda i pamięć (Avanguard and memory)- improvised music projects by Kawalerowie Błotni/Mud Cavaliers (Kornowicz, Latecki, Litwiński, Sudnik, Wielecki) performed in the Polish Radio Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio.

Beside of her artistic activity she is an author of many articles and reviews concerning the classical and contemporaryl as well as improvised music for Polish magazines such as Ruch muzyczny, Glissando and other (music, literary and cultural periodicals).
