DZeta N' Basile
Ingrained into London's underground clubbing scene as individuals for some years now, humble Italians Davide Zeta and Claude Basile have truly become a force to be reckoned with, since their decision to join forces over four years ago.
Operating under their alias DZeta N' Basile, the duo have managed to carve a name for themselves amongst the underground elite with their very own strain of stripped back, authentic deep house. Already a favourite in the capital, regularly impressing at the London's premier clubs including Fabric, Ministry and The Egg, the guys have also seen their skills behind the decks generating much more demand further afield, as their reputation justifiably expands throughout Europe.
Aside from their time spent behind the turntables, throughout 2012 and 2013 DZNB found themselves in a prolific mood production-wise. Having hit the big time when they were asked to remix Robert Owens’ ‘I’ll Be Your Friend’ as part of a package of remixes by the world’s hottest producers, including Jamie Jones, Soul Clap and Gadi Mizrahi, Matt Tolfrey and Inxec, Dyed Soundorom, and Jay Tripwire, their remake was a huge hit all summer and enjoyed global recognition on the dance floor.
Further successful releases followed, on the likes of Wiggle, Nite Grooves, 1Trax and Luna Records, with DZNB’s former alias consistently rocketing to the top of the Beatport charts. Composing both singles and remixes alongside the likes of Nina Kraviz, Burnski, Alex Jones, Silicon Soul and Nicole Moudaber, Robert Owens, Chris Lattner, Huxley, and Franky Flowerz, to name but a few, the guys reached a new height when they were called on remix duty of 'Bar A Thyme', a track originally produced in 1995 by House Legend Kerri Chandler on Nite Grooves Records.
Further to such an accolade, Davide has since established his own label imprint, ‘Decay Records’ which will undoubtedly further cement their reputation amongst some of London’s most revered underground electronic musicians.
With 2014 now well underway and with a backlog of strong releases set to drop on some equally impressive imprints throughout the year, including Act Natural, Roush and Tuquoise Blue Recordings, it’s fair to say that the very best is still to come, from one of London’s most established pairings.
