My name is Matt Davis. I'm an amateur Instrumental EDM composer, and my genre of choice is typically Trance, though I'm branching out into other genres now. I'm from Minnesota, and I'm 21. Back in 2010, I found out about FL Studio on Youtube and I downloaded the demo and I enjoyed playing around with all the things that it gave me. In 2011, my friend gave me a full version of FL Studio 9 Producer Edition XXL. I made my first remix of Basshunter's Russia Privjet then. During the rest of that year, I started looking at tutorials on YouTube and elsewhere, learning more about how to use it. I started really making music on FL Studio in February of this year (2012), and I've enjoyed every minute of it so far. I started by uploading a video of my finished remix of Basshunter's Russia Privjet to my Youtube, then I moved to Newgrounds and I'm slowly spreading out to other legit music sharing sites as I find them.
On December 25th, 2013, me and my friend Karl released our latest collab Double-Edge, and decided that we should pick a name for ourselves. We decided and Equilibria was born. As of the moment, Equilibria only has an official Bandcamp and Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/equilibriamusic, and now a Soundcloud page (@equilibriaofficial).
Most people most likely know me for the 3 song EP I did for a group that goes by the Late Night Crew, popular through the youtube Let's Player Cryaotic, that I released in January of 2014.
My Biggest Influences and Inspirations: Au5, Clayfacer, Dimrain47, DJ Energy, F.O.O.L, F-777, Ninth Parallel, Virtual Riot, my family, my best friend and the other half of Equilibria, @ionicforce, and anybody that enjoys my music. There are also a bunch of other artists out there, like Muse, Rush, Metallica, Mumford and Sons, and so on, outside of my genre that inspire me as well.
I'm currently not signed to any labels or anything professional for that matter, and don't wish to anytime soon, really. This is purely a hobby I do so I can keep music in my life and I would like to keep it that way until I figure out what I want to do with my life.
