Dutch This Amsterdam Dutch This is a collaboration between Delroy Samuel and Marcel "Ashi" Huibers. The first project we collaborated on was a hip-hop project called CTEPEOphonics, which was largely inspired by the great Russian composers like Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff. After this project we decided to do something which was more dance oriented. Growing from our shared love of Jamaican dance music we wanted to create a hybrid between the European dance styles and Jamaican ones. We dubbed this 'Schuur Billen' ('Grind Ass'). Hence 'Dutch This' was born in 2013. One of the first songs we created was a remix of 'Bigoudi' by the 'Amsterdam Klezmer Band'. Also incorporating Klezmer music into the mix.
