She is the founder of Dub Selekta: a prominent bass music blog & mix series that ran from 2010 - 2018. Her name is well known throughout BC’s Electronic music scene for being a strong supporter of the 170 favours and she's been a key member in moving the culture forward. Kirtay can often be seen playing alongside her DJ partner - Smasha - as Dutchess: a project to bring together their mutual love of dark, dirty, riddims that sit somewhere on the axis of drum and bass, jungle, half time and dripping with dancehall flavour.
