Drunk N Funky federal way, WA HELLO! I'm Drunk N Funky! I'm an Electronic Dance Producer who considers himself a DJ first and a producer second. I understand how the dancefloor works and that influences my decisions in the studio. Let's face it.. Women LOVE to dance.. I like watching them DO that.. I reside in the great, green, and often wet Puget sound area (Seattle-ish..) I grew up listening to grunge, punk, west coast hip hop, acid house, jazz and blues. I try to encorporpate the essence of my influences in my music, but present it in a danceable format. I started Djing middle school and highscool dances a year out of highschool in which i figured out quick, "I know NOTHING about this equipment..." So i did the most logical thing. (NO.. i didn't google it jeez..) I went to school for audio engineering. I ended up meeting Bryan Bell, handed a CD of my shitty music (at the time...) and was invited into his studio for an internship. The schooling was a blessing in disguise because it gave me ground level knowledge of the studio process and how efficient a pro was at it. I was just breaking into my 20's then, but I knew i had to get better on all fronts. So i kept Djing, went my seperate ways with the studio (we keep in touch) , and started some personal artist development. I went into phases. First phase was hip hop 101. Turntable, Sampler, Record digging etc. Phase two was working with artists to speed up my production process (comping vocals, reworking a beat, better time management with the artist and suggestions on improving their performance). I'm in the final phase which is to make it official. I'm 28 and I'm ready to put my mono where my mouth is. (did you get the roger reference?) Sincerely, Drunk N Funky PS.
