Drummed Up Drummed Up Newcastle upon Tyne Drummed Up is a community West African drumming group based in the north east of England. We’ve been playing West African rhythms since 2002 and have performed at venues across the north east. Every year we are one of the ‘Bands on the Run’ for the Great North Run, playing outside Gateshead Stadium. Drummed Up is made up of drummers who have attended Mark Barfoot’s West African drumming workshops and is led by Mark. We want to bring the rhythms we learn out to the public to make people smile and dance!
