Briefly, I'm an amateur who writes music now and then for fun. I think my songs are generally relatively simple and short, and I know they may not be played perfectly. Comments are welcome, but please don't be too harsh; I know these probably aren't anything fantastic. And if you want to use my songs in any way, please just ask me and I'll probably OK it. More info is below, if you want the longer description.
=====
I've always loved music and have played the piano since I was a child. I never had formal lessons, but I learned from my mother who did. I also learned trombone, which I played in school bands. In college, I took a music theory course and started writing some of my own music. And that's what I've uploaded here, as recorded on my Yamaha YPG-635, typically using the Live! Grand Piano voice.
I'm just an amateur who does this for fun, so my music is generally pretty simple -- basic arrangements on solo piano. Most of them are also rather short, since they're played as written with few or no repeats and no improvisation; I plan to indicate somehow when the recording is different from that, with improv, accompaniment, or whatever. I'll be the first to admit my songs probably aren't anything great, and I probably haven't played these perfectly even though I wrote them. So please don't be too critical, and I hope that some of you enjoy at least some of my songs here.
Some notes: I'll try to fill in more metadata when I can and have time, most BPMs are approximate (from timing taps), and I'd be willing to accept suggestions on genre, tags, or other relevant info that I can include. If you have title suggestions for any untitled songs, phrases, etc. here, I'm open to hearing them as well. Also, if you want to download, use, play, re-record, mix, etc., any of my songs, just ask me. All tracks currently have downloads disabled and "all rights reserved" mainly because I want to know who does what with which songs, not to completely stop people from using them. If you want to reuse my songs, please do ask me about it -- I will very likely OK it (and probably ask for a copy of your resulting product in return).
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your visit!
