So, what does the game sell you? Well, nothing. But everything. Turns out Poketopia has very little to sell. There's the single 'buying' feature, with the option to select any of the three Pokmon in your party for an optional offer (which can be completed in as few as three turns). Aside from that, there are battle requests from other Poketopia citizens, which can be amassed quite easily. If you're on one of the more populated streets, who's mostly likely to request something else. Just make sure that you rescue them in time as the request will expire.
So, you end up with a game which has a slew of familiar, fairly standard battles - hack 'n' slash, run 'n' attack, and all that fun. Just go in and be prepared for a fairly short game. Without a decent enough team, it takes an average of 3-5 battles to complete your Poketopia quest (and up to 6 battles if you're dealing with four abilities). You can skip some by opting to complete quests from other streets - for example, if you're on a street with a 'food' quest, you can then get your free hamburger at the Burger King. Although, that's not always a great idea. The developers seem to make several mistakes here, in particular including blocks which prevent you from completing quests in that particular street. It's a bit of a bummer because there's always good advice on what to do next, and quests are usually short enough to be done quickly once you're caught up again.
On the whole, this is a fairly enjoyable game, just not one of the most polished. It's easy to get into, and the lack of focus is actually a good thing, as you don't really have to bother with 'learning' the game. a3f8a02ae1
