Don Dayglow is a producer, DJ, writer, label owner, vinyl freak and music fanatic with fingers in the pies of Particle Zoo Recordings, Ewan Hoozami, Curious Music for Curious People, and Aeon Musk. By day, he’s also a content creator for Mixed In Key/Captain Plugins.
Releases and remixes on esteemed labels such as Midnight Riot, ISM, Hot Digits, Hottwerk, Thunder Jam, and his own Particle Zoo imprint run alongside a free edit series with over 25000 downloads and counting.
A new residency representing Midnight Riot in Abu Dhabi is steadily developing his reputation as a consummate DJ in his adopted home – a fact undisputed in the UK, as over a decade holding down residencies in Bristol, London and Brighton readily attests.
Don also runs Particle Zoo Recordings alongside the hombre Dave RMX so expect to see some of that good stuff here.

After a little sonic soul-searching, Don Dayglow seems to have found his musical niche. As with his previous ISM release, "Gimme Dat" puts a super-soulful vocal (this time from new-boogie hero Andre Esput) and kaleidoscopic '80s electrofunk synths at the heart of the action. The Dubai-based Brit's original version (track five) is wrangled into multiple new sonic shapes by Andrew Emil, whose chunkier Vocal and Dub passes make great use of live-sounding drums, bass guitar and flashes of funk guitar. He also provides an instrumental version and a sparse but groovy "Beatapella" that layers Esput's brilliant vocal over crunchy drums. The low-slung, delay-laden nu-disco throb of Hober Mallow's early morning remix is also worth a listen. (Juno Download, August 2018)
"Dubai-based Don Dayglow delivers his first EP for ISM, with regular Mr Bird and DJ Vadim collaborator Greg Blackman providing the soulful vocal polish. There's a pleasingly breezy feel to the U.A.E-based Bristolian's original version, which wraps Blackman's fine vocal in glistening, freestyle-esque synth lines and squeezable boogie bottom-end. It could well be the producer's strongest offering to date. Remix-wise, Aussie adventurer Inkswel provides the standout rub, giving "Out of Love" a looser, MPC-driven feel while emphasizing the track's inherent soulfulness, while Andy Buchanan re-casts it as a sparkling slab of nu-disco with killer synthesizer riffs." (Juno Download, 2018)
"Don Dayglow is the new disco rework project from Abu Dhabi-based DJ/producer Adam Hignell, who originally rose to prominence under the Ewan Hoozami alias. As you'd expect, Power is full of party-friendly treats, from the filtered disco loops, percussive build-ups, heavily worked samples and Leroy Burgess style vocals of "Hustler", to the hard-wired P-funk cut-ups of "Slyde 2 Boogie" and high-octane disco-funk heaviness of "Party", which accompanies an all-new arrangement of a well-loved classic with tasty new percussion. Arguably best of all, though, is "Power", an irrepressible disco-boogie romp full of rubbery slap bass, punchy horns, celebratory vocals and addictive synthesizer flourishes." (Juno Download, Feb 2017)
‘Her Love’ is the first original from the producer and it’s a genuinely unique cut of deep house with a psychedelic bass twang as the producer layers 808s over twisted, glassy hooks and some pitch down vocal snatches." (Harder Blogger Faster, Sep 2017)
