He has over 100 titles published with C. Alan Publications and his music is recorded on Albany, Centaur, d'Note Classics, Gasparo, Klavier, and other record labels. He is coauthor of "Theory for Today's Musician," published with Routledge, NYC. Dr. McCarthy is Professor and Chair of Composition and Theory Studies at The University of Akron School of Music.
