Vince K is a freelance DJ in New York City. He has been spinning music for 35 years. He was inspired into the world of Dance Music by his Mom, who faithfully collected 12" Disco-Dance singles, consequently beginning Vince K 's career in spinning Disco Classics, . . R & B, Hip-Hop, Reggae & Freestyle. At the young age of 11, Vince learned how to mix music by his best friend, Ruben Torres. As time progressed, Vince began spinning at neighborhood parks & community centers where he received numerous compliments for his choice selections of music.
Soon after, Vince began tuning in on Fridays & Saturdays for the Late Night Dance Party aired "LIVE" on radio stations like 92 WKTU, 98.7 Kiss FM, 107.5 WBLS, 103.5 FM and many more. Intrigued by "House Music", Vince K became inspired by legendary artists such as DJ's David Morales, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Shep Pettibone, Tee Scott, Louie Vega and many others. Vince soon began spinning more House Music, as it is one of the genres where he continues to excel, consequently forming Vince K's "Soulful" yet passionate journey into music.
In 1986, Vince K began working at various Dance Clubs across New York City, The Bronx & Queens. He obtained his first DJ gig at a popular club called Bently's, located at East 40th Street, NYC. Soon after, he obtained work at other Dance Clubs such as The Tunnel, The Warehouse, NYC Booms, Club OHM, Spirit, Club Shelter, Escuelita, Hatfields, Mi Gente Cafe', Club Passion, Studio 84 (currently known as El Morocco), Up & Down, Club Vanity, The Octagon, Club Rebel, Side Street, Kokonuts, Bruckner Bar & Grill , The Ice Palace & many more. Now spinning internationally, Vince has traveled to numerous places across the globe, including The Carribean, France, Miami, Italy, Spain, Los Angeles, Texas, etc. His remix projects include legendary artists such as Melba Moore, Gwen McCrae, Pepper Mashay, Tony Terry, First Choice, just to name a few, . . & he always keeps it extremely Soulful .
