I am addicted to soundcloud. Just pump it to my vain's. Influenced by big tracks like moby - go (rainforest mix) back in 1991. I have been into the rave scene buying records,cd's and mixtapes ever since. From early '94 I spent a lot of my time dj-ing on illegal pirate radio stations like storm, influence, frequency, laser Cheltenham and kiss 100 Worcester. Playing all forms of drum n bass, jungle, hardcore, rave and techno tunes under the name dj trauma. Being on radio help me get a few gigs including Wrekweim. My first appearance at the legendary sanctuary night club in Milton Keynes in 1996. One of my favorite gigs of all time happened within this period in north Germany. The rave was in this graffiti interior house which had a massive cellar. This building and also a music studio in the same city were funded by a millionaire. So that the young people had some where to go and hang out and enjoy music. If i was loaded i probably do the same in return here in England. I noticed the illegal free party rave scene in Oxfordshire had a revival back in 1999. So i got the chance to play all my favorite rave and darkcore tunes from the golden era. Playing in many different environments like warehouses, fields, farm barns, boats etc. Things i missed out on in the early 90s because i was a shade too young to do so. I enjoyed many hassle free nights out in Oxford at top old skool events like depth charge and in 2 the blue. Also the source was a wicked bi-weekly drum and bass night that always had the best dj's. Typically after a few years the scene went a little down hill there. In part to main clubs like the zodiac and all of Oxford's iconic records shops closing down. Still an interesting city to check out many forms of music, just like Bristol. I have had some great dj-ing memories over the years. I've done some work for promotions like nu breed, pure x, timeless, illusion. drop beats not bomb and transcendental bliss here in the West Midlands. I have done loads of outdoor festivals mainly in the south over the years. Glade (then Berkshire) one year was a bit of a fight due to the heavy rain and mud. But everybody battled on through it. February 2016 i got a dream booking at an old skool event in Oxford. In part due to family reasons. I decided to make this my final appearance dj-ing out. Truly fantastic night. As always i overworked the crossfaders and gave it some. Music is my passion and the main thing is there's still so much new and old music to discover. I always keep an eye on the new drum and bass, techno and hardcore releases. I don't make tunes unfortunately (too lazy) but like any good person i do push other people high quality music. I do like to press the re-post button here on soundcloud a lot. Don't really have a favorite tune of all time. There's just to many. But even now i still play the classic prodigy experience album way too much. I bet you lot play it pitched up on the Technics like myself. Much love to everyone following me on soundcloud and also knows me in person. I have met a few really well known dj's and artists over the years. Personality wise, the one's in the scene that i like the best are Billy "Daniel" Bunter, Dj Vibes, Stu Allan, Micky Finn, Rob Vanden, Dj Lee, Glenn Aston, Pilgrim, Ned Ryder, Clarky (Metalheadz), Phantasy, The Invisible Man, D-Bridge, Freak, Warlock, Torchman, Slipmatt, Hype & the legend that's John B. Talked to Norman Jay MBE and Goldie fully once. They both seemed alright geezers. Anyway massive respect to all rave goers and everyone making brand new old skool hardcore style tunes on the cloud. Loving your work. Thumbs up to all internet radio stations for keeping pirate vibe alive. Remember live every day like it is your last. As one day you will be right. My soundcloud page is dedicated to memory of Chris Savage aka Mr sav. We miss you old pal !!!
