For over 23 years now, James Fraser (Stereolove), has been bringing nothing but great dance music to over hundreds of thousands of clubbers, whether it is at major dance parties such as the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, or at most major nightclubs throughout Australia. He has been at the forefront of the dance music industry in Australia, from producing records for Grammy ® Award winning artist (Matt Alber), re-editing tracks for acts as diverse as Erasure, Mary J Blige & Diana Ross, to releasing some of the first commercially mixed DJ CDs in Australia. He has played beside many major international DJs including, Louie Vega, DJ Spen, Quentin Harris, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Shapeshifters, TV Rock, Denzal Park and Stacey Kidd. James was also involved with Australia’s preeminent dance music record label Central Station records from the late 80s – mid 90s, where he was involved in label management, licensing, & promotions.
In 2013 James launched his new production name “Stereolove”. The first release "Sleeping Satellite", hit Number 1 on the Juno Records best sellers chart, Number 1 on both the Kiss FM & Joy 94.9 charts in Melbourne, and Top 30 on the US DJ Record Pool charts. Single was licensed to the Italian label Smilax.
The follow up track "Too Young For Promises" featuring NZ artist Tina Cross, was signed to a worldwide deal with San Fransisco label Swishcraft Music (Matt Consola), and hit Number 1 on both Kiss FM & Joy 94.9 FM in Melbourne, was a Top 5 entry on US internet & satellite radio in NY / Chicago / Los Angeles & San Francisco, hit Number 1 on the Juno Records Pop / Trance charts, and spent 22 weeks inside the Top 50 on the US DJ Record Pool charts.
The third single "I Wish That" feat. Tina Cross was released November 2012 and reached the Top 10 on Juno UK, Top 30 in the US, and Top 5 in Melbourne. The accompanying music video has over 50,000 views on both You Tube & Vimeo combined. The clip was nominated in the best music video category at the 2013 SoundKilda / St Kilda Film Festival, featured numerous times on the ABC TV Rage program, and was included as an Official Selection at the KLIK ! 2013 Amsterdam Animation Festival.
Track number four released February 2013, is a new recording of the 1996 house record of the year, Sarah Washington's "Heaven". Featuring remixes from Purechild, Paul Goodyear, Linn Lovers, Wayne G & LFB. The track also featured on the DMC end of year compilation, as the Paul Goodyear remix was licensed into the USA for Pride Volume 14 (Mixed by DJ David Knapp), on the Centaur Music label.
Track number five "Burn It Up" was released on May 3rd 2013, with remixes from Purechild / Stereolove, Paul Goodyear & Linn Lovers.
Sixth single released October 2013 is a new recording of the 1997 Fire Island & Ibiza anthem "Life, Love & Happiness'", by Irish singer Brian Kennedy. Remixes from Paul Goodyear, Purechild & Stereolove have received huge support in the USA To quote Wayne G "HUGE". The Paul Goodyear Fire Island mix was licensed into the USA on the Centaur Music label.
Seventh single released May 7 is a cover of The Cars classic track "Drive", featuring dual Grammy ® Award winning artist Matt Alber. The track was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Unsigned Artist competition in the USA.
