DJ/Producer addicted to music. With over 20 years rocking the turntables under his belt, there is no mistaking his skills. Whether it's at events, clubs or radio shows, Sal V is known for flawless mixing and eclectic music styles, always at the top of his game knowing what to play and when to play it.
Originally from Oxnard, California, his love for music began as a child, watching and learning from family and friends, 805 DJ legends Jonny "DJ Uptempo" and DJ Mando Galindo. Inspired, but unable to afford turntables, he practiced mixing with tempo controlled tape decks (answering machines). It wasn't long before he got his hands on a pair of Technics 1200's, built a record library and went straight to work under the moniker DJ Maclon.
Working with numerous promoters, he toured for years, sharing the stage with superstar DJ's and home town DJ pals; 2MW (aka Jay Wes), Aycer, DJ Wicked, Megaman, Cyberkid, DJ Pleasures, DJ N8 and Simplemindead. As DJ Maclon he guest mixed on several radio stations including Q-104.7's The BOMB Show, 91.9 KCSB's "The Groove" and Power 105.5 promoting the CD release of HARDTIME.
Not satisfied with just spinning other people's tracks, he took the next step venturing into production under the new stage name Sal V. His first productions were picked up by Hardstep Records and Fussion Groove, then licensed on mixed compilation CD's including Michael Trance & George Centeno's - Keep On Pumpin and Larry Lynx's - House Music Theater. In the following years, adapting to the change in electronic music, he continued producing and remixing, releasing tracks under his own label Full Effect Recordings.
In 2006, Sal V joined 100.9 The HEAT FM assisting as Mixshow Coordinator, Producer and DJ Mixer on several shows including his own project: The Launch Mixshow. Sponsored by Native Instruments' Traktor Scratch, the show took off in 2007 featuring the best in Electronic Dance Music with Sal V as Host, DJ and Producer along with special guest DJs from around the globe. This recent surge in Dance Music has Sal V hard at work in the studio with new productions and back out on stage for clubs and events.
