Sabz started deejay’n in 2007, when his passion for dancehall/reggae music really grew. Sabz is a ‘self-taught’ DJ on the rise who is also known by his peers as “fire kidd” for his ability to shut down raves, parties & festivals across the South Coast of England with his Caribbean flava.
Sabz as a Dj has featured on many national radio's in the UK including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Reprezent, The Beat FM to name a few. Sabz has been described as a 'raw talent' who still mixes in the traditional way and puts effort into his craft. His first ‘legal’ name comes from a North African decent and translates as 'Lion' which is an iconic symbol in Reggae music.
In 2017, sabz supported Chronixx on his UK Chronogly album tour and played alongside one of his role models, the mighty ‘King Jammy’, not to mention artists like Major Lazer, Alicai Harley, Big Zeeks, E.Mak, Randy Valentine, Cali P, Stylo G, and many UK urban artists like Mostack, Sneakbo, J Spades and more…. Sabz mixtapes are very popular worldwide especially since the "Love Diaries” series, which many people look forward to every year. His music has vast Caribbean appeal but his versatility with the genre and other genres of music really set him apart from many dj’s across the country.
Sabz is really elevating the profile of reggae and dancehall music in Bournemouth with more and more acts to hit the town. Through radio ‘Bashment Fridays’, mixtapes and remixes which are some of the sickest to hit the scene, from plays on national radio to reggae dancehall parties across the world.
