We Make Music To Move You !
French DJ, former drummer, party organiser and journalist (Soundcheck, Home Studio, CDMag, Coda Mag, Recording Musicien, le Paris Bangkok, and now Editor in Chief of Latitudes), Jazzie C has been playing most pioneering and festive music styles for more than 30 years. Back on the decks in 2000 after years in communication, web design and writing, he rapidly found his place on the very demanding french scene, playing in trendy bars as well as hype clubs and underground parties. Sharing himself between Paris and Nantes, he's been resident DJ or regular guest in renowned venues like Paris’ Panam and l’An Vert du Décor, Nantes’ Extrèm' and Privilege or Rennes' Villa Club where he has shared the booth with many top DJs like DJ Deep, Claude Monnet, MFSB, Gabriel B, KiffKat,Alphaat, DJ Pfel, DJ Freddy, Utah jazz or John Aquaviva. Jazzie C is renowned for his warm, eclectic and very original sets, ranging from cool to dancefloor and spicing up his mixes with surprises like whales songs, virtual MCs and frequently welcoming guest musicians and performers. In bars, he creates a warm and sensual atmosphere going through downtempo to ass-movin' tracks, with a jazzy taste, always. In clubs, he delivers fuckin' real House music, sometimes deep and jazzy, other times more trippy and progressive that can speed up to technoïd and trancey. For raves or more underground parties he becomes Le Godfather and plays Techno-House, Breakbeat, Progressive Trance and Drum &Bass, or definitely chooses to handle the chill out side of the moon with ambient, dub and electro fusion. From 2004 to 2008, Jazzie C has been living in Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand, where he quickly has become a regular player at Full Moon Parties and in various venues like Paradise, Bongo Bar, Vinyl Club, Pirates' Bar and Jumunjy. He also organised countless parties, among which The Age of Love, Spirit of Sound System and On & On in La Villa, The Beach Club, Reggae Village, Paradise Waterfall, the Bounce, Illusion, Cafédel mar, Magic bar and many more. He was also a resident in Sairee View, Koh Tao, with DJ Albatar, Z Club and Reggae bar in Phuket with DJMissCaro and played regularly in Bangkok’s hottest places like Escobar and To Die For in Tong Lor, or in Club Culture, where he played twice in december 2007, during a Thai tour with Beat Torrent, the 5 times DMC World Champions.
Back in Nantes, France, from 2008 to 2012, he has DJed around, alone or with his combo Beatmasters including live musicians and holding the weekly Orbeat radio show on Prun' 92fm - www.prun.net/orbeat
From 2012, he has been seen in trendy places playing alongside friends as well as international guests : Akufen with Goûtez Electroniques, Back to Back with Znock in le Lieu Unique, Get A Move On with DJ Popofski in l'Insula, Bar-bars festival at la Maison Café with Orbeat, Beatmasters parties in LC Club, Utah Jazz @ le Ferrailleur, DJ Freddy in Club Colisée...
Now settled in Bangkok, Jazzie C is the Chief Editor of the cultural magazine Latitudes, carefully choosing his gigs, he’s a regular of Day Trip parties & Fly to the Moon with DJ Superstar Panda and Koish and plays regularly at 12x12.
