Born in Paderborn, West Germany in 1974, Darren has been a self taught DJ since 1995.
From an early age his love of music grew, from school discos to collecting old 45 singles and recording the Radio One chart show onto tape! Sharing his love of music quickly became his passion.
However, the Summer of Love in 1988 was the year Darren fell in love with House music and embraced the opportunity to learn the art of being a DJ. But it wasn’t until the winter of 1995 that he was let loose on a pair of Technics 1210s and two years later began his first residency at the Cockney Pride public house (Clacton-On-Sea, Essex), also playing hourly slots at Oscars nightclub and several residencies over the following years at other local venues, including the Light House and Fibbers/Tom Peppers.
After later playing on a local internet radio station, "Possessed Radio" Darren’s talent was recognised and the underground House scene was taking note of his excitement for House Music. Along with fellow DJs Freddie Van Damo, Brian T & Pete Williams, private underground parties were a hit until they became resident DJs at TPs bar in Colchester, Essex. Pete Williams has since moved on to join 'The Full House Players', playing alongside Darren at various nationwide venues.
Gigs followed at a number of bars and nightclubs in the area, such as Fashion Cafe, Silk Road and Liquid & Envy, until at long last London was calling and Darren had his first taste of the bright lights of London at Stanza Bar (Soho) for HALO, filling the dance floor with his Funky/Vocal sound. Other London venues followed, including The Chapel Bar and Indigo.
On 26th February 2011 Darren reached the pinnacle of his career to date, playing at the most famous nightclub in the world, Ministry Of Sound (Toolroom Knights), alongside some of the leading DJs - Mark Knight, UMEK, Mark Storie & co. and again at Ministry of Sound in September 2011.
Darren has begun producing music, with his new single 'Wiss’ due for release in early 2012.
One thing’s for certain, there’s a lot more in store for this energetic, talented, and passionate DJ!
