Bear Cole, known by some as DJ Bear Cole has been an entertainer, musician, and producer for most of his life. Not only can you find him spinning at clubs and bars around the southwest, Bear Cole also releases music under his label 1st Drop Music and under several artist names. If you are interested in that, well follow the bread crumbs. Bear is also the manager of a full Multi-OP DJ company called Peaks ProEvent Services in Flagstaff Arizona. Bear Cole started as a DJ in 1993 at the age of 13. He played his first professional gig immediately earning a residence at Martini Ranch & The Shaker Room in 1997. From there he played clubs, bars, concerts, and tours of all sizes. His work as a Club, Wedding, and Mobile DJ paid his way through college where he earned a Degree in Studio Recording & Audio Engineering. This projected his career as a solo musician and producer. As a DJ or what he prefers to call Record Selector, Bear Cole is most well known for his ability to mix multiple genres and generations of music into one cohesive set. His nights may be themed, but are often a mixture of dance music as eclectic as you have ever heard. Bear is a well versed music fan and expert, and his mixes help that show. His favorite DJs include DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ AM, and his favorite producers include Chris Malinchak, DJ Premier, GriZ, and Mr. Collipark. Bear is now the Manager and Head DJ for Peaks ProEvent Services, and a Promoter and Entertainment consultant for his company 1st Drop Entertainment. When he isn’t behind the decks he can be found organizing, booking entertainment, and marketing successful events and weddings. Bear has spread his vast skill set and knowledge across multiple roles. Bear has a current weekly residence at the McMillan in Flagstaff Arizona for his own night called FUNK LOUNGE. He is also the curator of a mix show and podcast called The Grab Bag with Bear Cole.
