Trail blazing record labels across his hub and elegantly shifting house music enthusiasts in the right direction, Sydney’s Alex Preston paces his unmissable path to electronic music prestige. In the pool of house, Alex is in a realm of his own, with his intricately detailed production crossing the boundaries of bass house, deep and electro notions for a spicy tinge on all things electronic. Alex Preston is known for carving the marks in the electronic road.
The last 12 months have certainly been a huge year for Alex with his music picking up support and plays from the likes of Pete Tong, Tiesto, Don Diablo, Danny Howard (BBC Radio 1), David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Gregor Salto, EDX, Lost Frequencies, R3hab, VINAI, Max Vangeli, Chuckie, David Jones, Stonebridge, Andi Durrant & More.
It all got going when Alex did an unofficial bootleg of Jack Ü and Justin Bieber's "Where Are Ü Now" that got picked up and promoted by Big Beat / Atlantic as well as ticking up 2.6 million plays worldwide. Original release followed on Central Station & Ministry Of Sound Australia that both hit the ARIA Club Chart Top 10.
Alex's DJ skills have earned him a residency at Sydney's prestigious Pacha and he's recently been touring Australia taking his signature brand of house music on the road. His syndicated radio show, Pressed on Air has also been turning heads worldwide with his tastemaker selection of fresh house tunes each month.
Recently named one of the Top 10 Artists to Watch in 2016 by Magnetic Magazine, no doubt the next 12 months will be even bigger for the producer from the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
