DJ Ja-ne is one of the top underground DJs on the czech drum'n'bass scene. Her first contact with decks was back in 1997 in the legendary Punto Azul club in Prague, where she also used to work. In the beginning, DJing was just an excellent way to relax for her, but later on her skills were noticed by DJ Touchwood, who persuaded her to try a public performance (which was actually a really hard job, as Ja-ne is far too critical to her own sets). After a few succesful trial nights she became a resident of aforementioned Punto Azul, with her own bi-weekly night called "DNB Heavy Industries", this followed by participating in another regular event, XT3-club's "Turntable Lounge" with DJs Kovak, On-Dry and others. Since then, she played at many club nights and at mainly open-air freeparties with other well-known Czech DJs. She also often plays in cooperation with Dvoika.Troika and Ext-Dust crews (both collectives located in Ostrava), and Eastek Sound System or Dool.cz crew (Kladno). During her carreer, she played with veterans like Panacea, Fresh, Grooverider, Vector Burn, Dial 8, Vlad+Dushka, B-COMPLEX, CAMO & KROOKED and many others on their Czech tours, and also toured abroad several times (Berlin, Hamburg, Rostock, Bratislava, Londen etc.). Ever since she started playing, her style was pretty specific with fast dancefloor-filling tracks with straight beats and solid basslines, with favorite labels like DSCI4, Cell, Crossfire, Black Sun Empire, Drop On Request, 720 Degrees, Industry etc.
One of Ja-ne's specialities is her ability to play a cooperative multi-deck sets with other DJs (her partners being mostly DJ Kovak or DJane Romana from Ext-Dust crew). During her carreer she was offered a contract by several booking agencies in Czech Rep. (eg. Punto Azul Club, Jungle United, Workshops or Soundsphere). Despite that, she’s staying on her own concerning the booking activities, and since 2006 she performs as a member of the Neurokyme.
Since 2001 Ja-ne also began experimenting with production. This activity was interrupted for some time by her maternal obligations, but lately Ja-ne is spending more and more time in the studio again. Since 2002 she also broadened her music selection to include breakbeat as well.
21.12.2012 became a Member BasSistaz DJane crew.
From the 25.3.2013 a member of the TACTICAL TBX crew.
