Derek Cronin Derek Cronin Dublin Derek Cronin is a composer, arranger, producer and performer. He has been commissioned to compose music for Tourism Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Film Institute, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and all Irish national broadcasters. He has been commissioned to re-orchestrate music by everyone from the Beatles through Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain to the Rolling Stones, and his orchestrations have been performed all over the world. As a keyboardist and pianist he has recorded, toured and performed with acts like The Commitments, Donovan, Brian Kennedy, Westlife, the Wolfe Tones and In Tua Nua. He currently works as Musical Director for acclaimed Irish vocalist Jack Lukeman. Derek holds an M.Phil in Music and Media Technologies, awarded by Trinity College, Dublin, graduating with distinction. He currently lectures and is Digital Learning Co-Ordinator at BIMM Institute, Dublin. He has previously lectured in NUI Maynooth and the TU Dublin Conservatory of Music.
