In recent years, tattoos have been on the rise in Egypt, with a community slowly growing.

Although the greater portion of the society continues to be heavily opposed to the growing notion, young people continue to get more and more tattoos. Why are tattoos still a taboo within Egypt? What reactions do those with tattoos get from people? What about religion? Keep listening!

This audio documentary was produced for the audio production course at The American University in Cairo taught by Professor Kim Fox @ohradiogirl in spring 2017.
