Days Of Being Wild starts the new decade by welcoming chaotic duo The Vinyl Depreciation Society
Nick and Ben are the producers behind this mysterious and strange duo. This is a childhood story since they met at nursery school in provincial England They flitted in and out of each other's lives before converging on the rave scene and bonding like “tissues under a teenager's bed” as they like to put it.

Well if that’s not setting the tone…

So they started producing together after a heavily intoxicated weekend at the Fortress on Old St, London.
A misguided pursuit for sure in terms of money, career and maintaining functional relationships, but nevertheless, they were bitten by the bug and pressed on.
It’s difficult to define The Vinyl Depreciation Society's sound and that can only be a good thing right?
They blend influences from indie, rave, techno and disco and it took the boys a while to develop and find their voice.
They say: “Eight years of hard labour in front of a computer trying to turn chaos into congruency is a dicey game to play, mental health is precarious enough without subjecting the mind to 10 hrs of relentless beats per day.” Sure enough! But torture can bear fruits.

Their first two releases on Dynamic and Get Physical have drawn the attention of many camps, from Richie Hawtin to Guy Gerber and Mr Andrew Weatherall.

So Days Of Being Wild is very happy and proud to present their debut release: Goal Disorientated EP.
It is a perfect home for their wonky experimental style aimed at the dance floor.

Opener title track Goal Disorientated with its heavily swung and oddly shaped slice of electronica explores a leftfield groove and asks a profound question, albeit slightly tongue in cheek.
Second track Lost Villagers is a characterful melodic techno banger with hints of Detroit. Jazz chords overlay a driving rhythm section. Think Amp Fiddler in a lift with Radioslave.
Third track Excalcus could perhaps be best described as a sort punk techno with some jazzy inflections and dance floor weirdness.
Finally to close the EP we have the great Rubin Steiner taking the shuffle out and bringing the nu disco in on his glorious remix of Goal Disorientated.

Years of chaos await us in the new decade, The Vinyl Depreciation Society are the perfect soundtrack for it!
