@davidestevens: The advanced editor is not on by default, if you are using Logic Pro X. Go into preferences and open advanced tools and click enable all at the bottom, you can now do destructive editing! Message if you need more info :-)

@benn-demole: I also like the sound of a drop with a little added reverb. Then reverse the reverb and add it to the front of the hit. I think that was fairly simple in Cubase, but I'm using Logic now, and there doesn't seem to be a "reverse sound" function (which i find quite odd - it's pretty common in other DAWs)
