Kiss the Clouds by David Leo Sirois published on 2015-12-24T20:12:54Z This song comes almost entirely from a dream I had, where I was wandering all night "from one closed café to another/past each & every corner/without words," until I came to one whose Christmas windows a friend had painted. "I dreamt that my cold winter coat/lacked a Christmas gift/wrapped up in its pocket/for you, snowbird. . ." The "picture of this dusky flower" that I wrapped up "in a piece of purple fabric/I cut from my blanket" in the dream is the hybrid delphinium, still my favorite bloom ever since I worked in greenhouses & flower shops in the late 90's. Happy Holidays, all! (Photograph by Lindsay A. Gordon. Banner drawing by Mathias Ninot. All other photos on this site are copyright Sabine Dundure & Paris Lit Up.) Genre Alternative acoustic ballad.
