David Heartbreak David Heartbreak Charlotte, NC Yo Homies. I’m Heartbreak, I produce electronic music with a splash of hip hop. My vibe is Art, Music, and Culture. holla at cha homie. #yayv My Bio : From the bright lights of Ibiza to the streets of his native Brooklyn and across the globe to festivals worldwide, David Heartbreak is the electronic face of hip-hop music. Just like his 2016 album’s title Your Art, Your Voice states, Heartbreak’s art certainly represents his unique voice. A pioneering DJ and producer co-signed by the likes of worldwide titans Diplo, Skrillex and Bassnectar, he’s successfully navigated the space between hip-hop and EDM culture. Rather quickly, Heartbreak’s emerged from being one of dance’s least anticipated beatsmiths to one of the industry’s most wanted names. Also held in high esteem by global icons like BBC Radio 1 DJ’s Toddla T and MistaJam, he’s also beloved by the likes of pioneering underground deans and top tech house DJ/producers Nadastrom. When Earmilk states that Heartbreak is “THE trailblazer of the electronic music world,” it’s an absolute fact. The bass-loving producer’s sound borrows heavily from his history as a rapper, a true appreciation of Jamaican dub culture, an interest in electronic music and a plethora of club friendly sounds, too. Heartbreak’s sound has been favored by the likes of Bassnectar, who remixed his 2014 track “Rose Colored Bass (feat. Maluca),” as well as Skrillex, whose OWSLA label released his Foundation, War Of The Roses EP and Rose Colored Bass EPs in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Also, Heartbreak has a respect for his fans -- who he calls his “homies” -- and for whom he’s released nearly 50 tracks for free in the past five years. Passionate and always motivated by doing as much as he can not just for himself, but for developing producers too.
