Darius & Finlay is an Austrian production duo best known for their hit dance club singles. Christian Gmeiner and Johann Gmachi originally formed their DJ partnership in 2008. By 2009, the band had its first successful single, “Destination”, featuring American singer Nicco. This nightclub banger was an instant success in Austria, spending six weeks on the charts. That same year, their single “Do It All Night” climbed charts in Austria and neighboring Germany, gaining the attention of Sony Music, among others. In 2010, their third single, “Rock the Beat”, reached #28 in Germany and #14 in Austria. “Show Me 10” featuring Shaun Baker saw similar chart success and was included in the 2010 World Cup final celebration. That year, they released their first compilation album with Sony Music, “Do It All Night Volume 1”, which spent four weeks at number four in Austria. In 2011, Darius & Finlay released their second album, “Do It All Night Volume 2”, featuring Nicco and Shaun Baker. The album reached #12 in Germany and #8 in Austria. In 2012, they remixed and re-released “Do It All Night” with German rapper Carlprit. “Do It All Night 2k12” was released across Europe and topped out at number eleven in Switzerland. “Phenomenon” featuring Tony T. and “Enjoy Your Life” with Emanuel continued the duo’s success in Austria and spreading across Europe. In 2013, they again climbed German charts with “Band Bang” featuring Ceresia and Ron Carroll. That same year, they released their first studio album, “Summer Is Here” that was completely original tracks written by the duo. It performed well in Austria, reaching number nineteen, while the single “Get Away” saw soaring success in Germany. Currently, they are still producing chart topping dance singles that take Austria by storm. They have recently announced their own production label, Trak Music. In 2014, they won the Amadeus Award for Electronic and Dance Music Excellence.
