Flares/Flutters Fanfare by DanielEricMorel published on 2017-05-08T23:30:04Z Premiere performance by UMKC Conservatory Wind Ensemble on April 19, 2017, conducted by Dr. Joe Parisi. Lens flares are a visual phenomenon that occur from flashes of intense light. Found in photos and videos, these flares manifest as starbursts, rings, and other spatial artifacts that often add intensity to the image. This fanfare builds its own sonic flares through resonant overtones and fluttering woodwinds soaring above brassiy clusters. In addition to these flares and flutters, martial rhythms resound with antiphonal toms and heavy percussion drawing the fanfare to its final climax. For more details and info, visit www.danmorel.com.
