D-Toxx’s first elektronic music he ever bought on cd was ‘Thunderdome’, followed by
‘Bonzai Rave nation’ and ‘Montini’. His journey started from that moment. When several years have passed, he and his friends started to go out, and they tumbled into the ‘Techno’-scene. Going
to local partys like ‘Orange Club’ , ‘Technomite’ , ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Soapclub’ and events like
‘Techno Nation’ in the legendary but closed ‘Club Silo’ , memorable ‘Fuse Club’ , ‘Madeinbrussels’ , ‘Kozzmozz’ , ‘Katsu’, and so on. It didn’t took long before he bought his first ‘Technics TTS’s and mixer. In 2004, D-Toxx was asked and got the chance to play for the first time at a local party called ‘Nitrogen’, hosted by one of his bestest friends ‘Dream’. His mixing skills and already huge collection of techno-records gave him more and more bookings from then on. Through the years, the techno-scene started to change; Different styles of music came and lots of his friends found new life in the underground ‘Tekno-’ and ‘Hardcore-scene’. It was a little bit of a black period for him, because lots of that music couldn’t satisfy him like the ‘Old-Skool-Techno’ he once knew..
It seems to have gotten lost over the years as people became interested in softer or harder styles like ‘Tekno’ , new ‘Mainstream-Hardcore’. Minimal and Electro stuff has been a turning point for him and he grabbed back to his first love, ’Old-Skool Hardcore’ and ‘Rave’.
After that, D-Toxx got a booking for an oldskool hardcore set and people went nuts when he hit the decks with an older style of hardcore. It was something the new generation of party peeps didn’t knew but liked very much. Lots of bookings came in, and he played in most of the larger citys in the Belgian area.
E.g.: Brussels , Liège , Antwerp , Louvain , Hasselt , Ghent.
D-Toxx was also a proud resident of the ‘Distortion Cunts-crew’, ‘Kweet ni watt ’, and ‘013 Soundsystem’, who are active in the free party scene. On March 20th 2005, D-Toxx launched his first party concept called “RE-LOAD” and held several parties over the future years.
“RE-LOAD” brings you music like Hardcore, Oldskool Hardcore, Gabber, Rave, Acid and Tekno.
5 years later he and a few friends started the “Bleep Machine” concept which brings music genres like all styles of techno , retro and acid.Few years later he teamed up with some friends and started the Flashback concept that brings music like Retro , Rave classix. and he also created the Mixed Session concept that brings just Techno.
