Beyond humbled to return to the series with Hudson (by way of Portland) legend Swim Ice. Bespoke house builder, enlightened hand poker, and in the mix regular, Swim Ice has been an essential part of the Hudson Valley dance community with his parties Pest and Halogen. In his mix for Crude, he slowly molds a very deep feeling, an awakening of sorts. No kick drum for almost 10 minutes. Slow hours, no need to rush. Upstate hours. The mix continues to take its time, slowly opening other windows to different feels, tempos, colors, moods, until about 30 minutes in when, before you know it, it's really firing. And for the rest of the back half of the mix, Mr Ice swings back and forth in the most pleasurable way between hard and light. Air and dirt. Sun and moon. Tingling and tantalizing blend to blend.
