Creme Podcast #12 - Nick Anthony Simoncino - MixTape for Creme Organization by Creme Organization published on 2013/05/09 09:13:28 +0000 A surprise landing this here podcast, delivered out of the blue by Italian House producer Nick Anthony Simoncino. But we're not complaining! On the contrary. This super productive cat has blown our minds the last two years with great EP's on a string of our favorite labels. To name a few: Echovolt from Athens, NYC's L.I.E.S., Thug from Sydney and Chicago's Mathematics. And if it wasn't enough he also managed to release a glorious double album on Jamal Moss's Mathematics entitled "Open Your Eyes". Perhaps more than a casual nod to Marshall Jefferson's spiritual deep house anthem, because like no other Simoncino rides the lush basslines and synthwaves of Chicago's otherworldly classics. The album not only has collaborations with well known artists like Ron Trent and Dream2Science, but also a rare appearance by Soichi Terada (trainspotter alert!), the producer of Nami Shimada's Sunshower, a Larry Levan staple from 1990 that was re-released on Creme in 2004. As this completes the circle, this might also be a good time to unveil an upcoming 5 Track EP on Creme in the near future. But more on that later. Meantime, enjoy this podcast, which is as fragile as it is welcoming and playful. There aint too many like 'em!
