A special thank you to redleader antilles for your comments on Episode 53! We address a number of the points that they brought up before diving into other Rogue One details, Leia CGI usage in Episode VIII, Woody Harrelson in the Han Solo movie and the fate of the crew of the Hammerhead Frigate. Thank you for listening! Genre Entertainment Comment by redleader antilles Seeing as the Corellian Gunship was re-canonized in the Star Wars comic as well as Dash Rendar and Kyle Katarns' ship's models being canon again; what other old EU vessels would you guys like to see brought back? I personally would love to see the K-Wing and E-Wing back. 2017/01/26 08:24:05 +0000 Comment by redleader antilles Thanks for bring up my comments guys! And yes I am totally Dennis Lawson, well save for those times when I look totally different and say that a shot is impossible even for a computer or when I change accents every few lines. That is always strange. 2017/01/26 07:29:55 +0000 Comment by redleader antilles The interesting thing about the new EU's approach to Kotor is that they seem to be almost condensing some of those stories and seem likely to bring them closer to the main saga era. I would not be surprised if the events of Kotor (Malachor and Taris) that have been alluded to took place as part of the giant Sith v Jedi war that apparently resulted in a total Sith occupation of Coruscant for a long stretch of time. As for Taris. Even 3,000 years is not long enough for people to have totally forgotten what happened though I totally agree that more likely she would have been more gung ho to stop the DS seeing as it is similar to what happened to Taris and as a politician that would get her praise from her voters. 2017/01/26 07:27:36 +0000 Comment by redleader antilles To the point on the reactor and whether or not Galen knew about it. Pablo Hidalgo mentioned on The Star Wars Show that Galen did not know about the reactor. Pablo when asked said "not specifically or else he would have mentioned in the message. He built an unstable reactor turns out there is a weakness there, but how do you exploit it? In fact that's what General tagge says. He knows that there's a way to do it or there must be a way to do it. In the novel when get the idea that he signed off on the general idea of these exhaust ports, but he still does not have a specific bit of information beyond "go get the plans" cause if you get the plans you'll find out how to do it" So it seems like Galen did not know that the exhaust port would help destroy the reactor he just accidentally played into that part by saying it would cost more to fix that issue or whatever the novelization said. Really wish we did not need 2 sources to understand that bit of info for the film. 2017/01/26 07:00:19 +0000
